I work at Necali Centro Educativo_, a school in north-east Mexico. It´s a K-9 Catholic educational center. Provides personal attention and complete education of its students based in values and principles of coherence, consistency, sensitivity and respect.
Our school district´s mission: "Educate happy, responsible, respectful and independent children and adolescents, with common sense and critical thinking; that exalt universal values and principles providing world class education with emphasis on skills training to enable them to achieve academic excellence to meet the challenges they encounter".
To answer this week´s question, I would modify our existing mission statement to reflect digital lifestyle realities to this:
“Educate happy, responsible, respectful and independent children and adolescents, with common sense and critical thinking that exalt universal values and principles, by providing them world class education with emphasis on training skills that also adapt to their technological lifestyle and enable them to achieve academic excellence to meet the challenges they encounter in their real and digital lives”.
As for digital citizenship mantra, I will propose:
“Make honesty, responsibility, respect and safety your daily values that dominate your digital lifestyle”.
This mantra comes along perfect with our school´s daily values... by the way, I was glad to hear from one of my fellow classmates that this mantra should be printed out in a bumper sticker.
